Hook: TMC 200R
Thread UTC 70
Body: Tan foam
Wing: Brown Foam
Indicator: Orange poly post
Step one:Crimp Barb, attach hook, and put a layer of thread down. Bring thread back up to two hooks eyes behind the eye.
Step two:
Cut a piece of foam about the width of the gap, and about 3 hook shanks in length, tie in with a little less then a shank length forward of the tie in point.
Step three:
Apply super glue to shank and form 3 equal segments. When making a new segment pass the thread under the foam.
Step four:
Fold foam over and form tail, and tie down.
Step five:
Pass thread over body to the next segment. Tie down foam and trim close to body, advance thread to next segment.
Step six:Cut a square piece of brown foam, about 3 times the width of the body and about 3/4's the length of the body. Lay foam equally over the body, and snip the foam to the width of the body. From those cuts snip at an angle to corners of the foam square. Then snip a narrow V into the top of the foam (there isn't a pic of this step but use the end photo for reference).
Step seven:
Tie wing in trim excess.
Step eight:
Tie legs in
Step nine:
Fold forward foam over, form nice size head, tie down.
Step ten:Take some poly-post fold over a few times and cut off. Then tie onto the top of the head whip finish.
Step eleven:Trim legs and indicator to length. Enjoy your handy work.
